The piece begins with a magician blowing air into a balloon. The time it takes for the balloon to swell becomes the time of a person breathing in and out, waiting in anticipation. Within the festive moment of a birthday, the sounds of breath, pressure, friction, and vibration spread through the space, and the performance captures the scene in which breathing turns into joy.
